Take Holly and Brendan, for example. When they discovered Hog Roast Hitchin and learned about our ethos, they fell in love with us almost as quickly as they fell in love with each other! And with 150 guests to impress, they entrusted us to deliver a feast that would be the highlight of their wedding. On the big day, our team, led by catering manager Adrian, arrived at the venue ready to work their magic. While some set up elegant dining tables with crisp linens and real crockery, others, under Adrian’s expert supervision, focused on preparing the feast.
The menu was nothing short of spectacular. Guests were welcomed with a tantalising array of canapés—think roasted duck, smoked Scottish salmon, chicken liver parfait, mini quiche, and roasted halloumi and tomato crostini—all beautifully presented on bamboo platters. A comforting homemade soup starter followed, whetting everyone’s appetites for the main course! For the main event, we presented our famous hog roast, accompanied by stuffing, crackling, and applesauce, which had mouths watering. The chicken, moist and flavourful, was a hit among guests. Vegans were dazzled by our delicious BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls while fresh salads, coleslaw, and buttered new potatoes complemented each main perfectly. Dessert sealed the meal with sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake, leaving everyone with sweet memories of a perfect wedding feast.
As guests and the newlyweds moved on to dance the night away, Hog Roast Hitchin discreetly tidied up, proud to have played a part in making Holly and Brendan’s day unforgettable.
