This spring, Hog Roast Hitchin is catering for an open day at a university. The event will see hundreds of prospective students and their parents visiting the facilities, checking out the campus, and getting an introduction to their chosen courses. Alongside the academic side of the day, there will also be a variety of activities hosted to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Our catering will also be perfect for giving guests a chance to relax and enjoy the day. For the menu, we will be serving our classic hog roast, which is delicious and versatile yet quick and easy to serve to large numbers of guests.
In preparation for the event, the Hog Roast Hitchin team will arrive at the campus in the morning and begin preparing for the midday serving time. We will start by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook to perfection for around five hours. Once ready, the pork will be expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. We will also be providing BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a tasty meat-free alternative. The guests can also enjoy homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a green leaf salad, which will be perfect for creating a varied and delicious buffet lunch. Our menu is sure to be a great addition to this event and the Hog Roast Hitchin team is looking forward to serving so many new people!
