At Hog Roast Hitchin, there’s nothing we love more than being part of a celebration that sparks joy and laughter – and Eva’s bridal shower was a shining example of just that! Held on the gorgeous grounds of a manor house, tucked away in the enchanting Chiltern Hills countryside, it was a day full of magic, merriment, and, of course, mouth-watering food!
The venue was like something straight out of a fairy tale. The manor’s sprawling lawns and elegant gardens provided a stunning backdrop, while the summer sun and gentle breeze created the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable celebration. From the moment the guests arrived, the party was buzzing with excitement. The guests’ enthusiasm, coupled with the entertainment Eva had organised kept spirits soaring throughout the day.
The live acoustic band set a dreamy tone with their mix of romantic ballads and lively tunes. Guests couldn’t resist the photo booth, which was packed with quirky props. Garden games like giant Jenga and croquet sparked friendly competition, while a caricature artist added a hilarious touch, giving everyone a fun and personal keepsake from the day.
But the event wouldn’t have been what it was without the food and Hog Roast Hitchin’s Alfresco Menu did not disappoint! At the heart of the feast was a succulent hog roast, complemented by crispy crackling, sage and onion stuffing, and applesauce. The aroma alone was enough to make mouths water!
Alongside the hog roast, we served a variety of sides that added colour and flavour to each plate: heritage tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad, a selection of seasonal salad leaves, gourmet coleslaw, and buttered new potatoes tossed in chives. The combination of flavours and textures was a hit, and guests couldn’t stop raving about the food. And because no party is complete without dessert, we treated the guests to a decadent selection of sweets. Profiteroles smothered in rich chocolate sauce and handmade individual cheesecakes featuring a light, biscuity base and a creamy, dreamy filling. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with celebration.
Eva’s bridal shower was a day to remember, brimming with love, laughter, and delectable food. The guests left with full bellies and smiles, and we at Hog Roast Hitchin were thrilled to have played a part in making the day so special.
