Luke and Jess have been running their small business out of their home for almost three years. The business sells a wide selection of fun, quirky items that are perfect for buying to treat yourself, or as a gift for someone else. This year, they have finally decided that they are ready to open a store to operate out of to boost their business even further. They planned to host a grand opening event this January, with the hope that many people will be wanting deals in the January sales! To have a successful first day, they planned to host a grand opening event, including a delicious buffet from Hog Roast Fingest, plenty of good deals, and freebies for the first few customers. For the menu, it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal, alongside a meat-free option. This will be simple enough to serve quickly and efficiently to the customers, while still being incredibly delicious!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Fingest team arrived at the venue in the morning to prepare for the 11am opening time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection before being expertly carved by our chef. Once ready, it was served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we also served BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious alternative to pulled pork. Our menu was a great addition to the event and was ideal for attracting new customers.
